Former Marine, Trent Reed, is in desperate need of a Hail Mary.

From Inger Iversen, the third book in a best-selling BWWM romance series, A Future Worth Fight For that reaches across the great divide between prejudice and love.

With each failed attempt to convince his woman to pack up and move to Kentucky, his past finds some new way to rear its ugly head. But when his pregnant ex plows into his life, all hell breaks loose—unearthing parts of his past he wished would stay buried.

Two weeks of vacation with her man? Hell yeah, that is exactly what Teal Lofton’s libido needs. And after surviving seven months apart, their reunion doesn’t disappoint. What she didn’t account for was an unfortunate encounter with people from Trent’s past. A racist, a druggie, and a double-barreled shotgun, culminate into a vacation that will alter the course of her life forever.

Finally! Finally! Finally! A sista (Strong; Independent; Sassy; Tenacious; Able). I've read several BWWM romances and this is the first one where I identify with the heroine. In most BWWM books, the lead female has a broke down story that could easily be a country song...they have bad upbringings, no family, no friends, an entry level job with no future or no job at all. The male lead lusts after them and within the first three chapters, they have sex.

Please read part one, Ievitable, where we are introduced to Teal and Trent. In that book, Teal & Trent can't stand each other from the time that they meet. Circumstances brings them together that forces them to stay in a cabin. During that time, Teal gets to know Trent and learns that he is not the person he's been pretending to be. Yes, they do have sex but it is initiated by Teal. She is in charge of her sexuality. This again is not what you usually read by other authors. They think they will lose the reader if the lead couple aren't having sex immediately.

Teal, like many women is educated and earns a good living with a future. She is a home owner and doesn't take mess. She is a true good woman that supports her man and he wants to be a better man because of the quality of the woman.

Ms. Iverson, thank you for writing this book and giving us a true independent and strong woman that is ride or die for her man. Other of authors of BWWM romance, take notice!

Indelible Beneath His Ink A Future Worth Fighting For Book 3 edition by Inger Iversen Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

It was wonderful getting to know more about them. It seemed these two have come a long way the months spent apart seemed to draw them closer to one another. Couldn't have been happier to see ratchet Shayla go, her hatred is beyond belief. And Jake, didn't remember much about him til the reference of his actions in Incarcerated were mentioned cause I didn't remember him at all from Inevitable. Anywho glad he got what was deserving of him too. How wonderful of Trent and Teal to adopt Shayla's baby even after all she put him AND her through in this book and the last she was truly a monster. But these two were able to see beyond that and into an innocent child who deserved a loving home. Bravo. Now....the sneak peak of Indebted...man we find yet ANOTHER thing Shayla has gotten Trent into. I hope he and Teal are able to survive whatever it is in tact. So looking forward to it.
I've enjoyed the first two books in this series, and while Incarcerated remains my favorite, I have to say, I love me some Trent Reed. He, alone, makes this story compelling as hell. Add in sassy Teal and some good antagonists and you've got a worthy read. The sex scenes were scorching hot, whole the narrative drew me in and kept me. It was nice to delve deeper into Trent, and learn more about who he is.

One criticism I have is that I don't think this story delved as deep into Teal as I would have liked. I do hope to learn more about her in the next book. As of now I definitely find Trent to be the more compelling of the two characters.
Also, I found some of the dramatics involving Shayla and Teal to be over the top. I also felt Shayla deserved a bit more compassion from Teal once her past abuse is revealed, but at least Teal's motivations and actions are clearly spelled out and understandable.

Things ended pretty well with this one, so really curious to see how much further this story will go. I can't way for more of that strong and sexy Trent!
What an explosive romance. Trent and Teal really have an explosive love. They have the same problems any other couple would have. Trent is so full of love and care for other people. Teal can easily see through him. Jake on the other hand, is a pure racist and got just what he deserved. Poor Shayla was a victim of her up bringing. She knew that Trent would give her child what she could not. Teal, was so in love with Trent and needed him in her life that she would sacrifice everything for him, including raising an adoptive child
So this is my third book by this author and I totally completely loved it Ms. Iversen is definitely one of my favorite authors now This is the love journey of Teal and Trent We all carry baggage from our past. Trent carried a trunk load. Well trends trunk load of trouble was heavy I pretty much false. Several years ago he made a mistake. He allowed his peers and friends to believe he was a racist He soon found out that was a very bad misstep which cost him the love of his life and his child. Our author Ms. Iversen was able to really delve into how we as a society feel about racism and how it puts you into a box and that were not born with this hatred. we learn it. I totally recommend this book to you and I'm patiently waiting for the next one.
OK, I really wanted to give this book 4.5 stars, not because there is something wrong with the story but it took nearly two years for this follow up. With that being said, I hope that it doesn't take that long for the next one. I hope the issue with Harper and Markus is finally addressed and resolved. Other than that, this was a great read, loved the chemistry between Trent and Teal. Teal never did shrink or lose who she was but she did soften a bit because she truly loved Trent. Trent was totally bad ass alpha male all day, protector by nature. Their story always stuck with me from the first book, since I had to do a reread, it is always great to read a story about how your love for someone prompt to make to necessary changes to be with them, not for them but because it make you a better person and both Trent and Teal did that.
Trent is my all time favorite real life alpha male badass flawed superhero sexy man..and Teal is his perfect match dipped in chocolate. And Harper needs to grow up like everyone else...including Shayla,,Realtalk Shayla did a real grown woman best choice for my child thing. Harper just react/overreacts to other people decisions in her life. The MC thing is hardcore for me, but I am so looking for the next T&T story.
